The virgin Mary stands before the awesome angelic messenger of Gabriel. Her humility and transparent spirit makes her the perfect vessel for carrying the Messiah in her womb. The angel Gabriel stands in awe, not understanding what redemption is about, while having to deliver a message that is foreign to him.
